The International scientific and practical conference
“University – the Territory of Progressive Development” dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno
19.02.2020 – 20.02.2020
Grodno, the Republic of Belarus
Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno informs about the start of preparations for the International scientific and practical conference “University – the Territory of Progressive Development” dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, 19.02.2020 – 20.02.2020, the city of Grodno, the Republic of Belarus.
Currently, the formation of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno as a scientific, industrial and educational complex (University 3.0 model) occurs, which is fundamental for the development of the region’s educational system, the creation of a service infrastructure for organizing the development and implementation of domestic high-tech technologies, including the commercialization of intellectual property through the creation and development of their own small innovative enterprises – residents of science and technology parks, spin off companies.
One of the most important indicators of sustainable social and economic development of the regions, the formation and development of the “knowledge economy” (or “intellectual economy”, “digital economy”, “industry 4.0”) is the sustainable innovative development of its universities and realization of their intellectual potential as leading centers of integration of education, science and production. Universities, as recognized leaders in the field of generating new, advanced technologies, are the best subject of transfer of knowledge into the intellectual capital of the country, they seek and shape the image of the future.
The transition of the Republic of Belarus to the model of development of the “digital economy” poses a new promising task for universities – the training of personnel with creative potential and the recipient of true solutions not only from practice, but also based on system analysis, modeling and forecasting.
Digitalization of all areas of the university’s activities is accompanied by the introduction of artificial intelligence, which is gradually turning the university into an industry driven by the interaction of client and service artificial intelligence with the active use of “Big Data” as a source of information for prediction and planning. This entails the need to transform the educational information environment into a digital environment, providing mobility of learning and providing a new format for students to communicate with teachers and potential employers.
The digital transformation of all university processes should provide:
– variability of training in an interactive educational environment;
– multi-format and personalized training;
– mastery of professional competencies on the basis of interdisciplinarity and systemic multidimensional vision;
– free access to global content of world educational and scientific centers;
– use of “big data” as a source of information for predicting, planning and making management decisions;
– collaborative learning technologies (“knowledge creation”);
– access to the learning process, regardless of place and time;
– training using artificial intelligence;
– the use of cloud technologies and neural networks for the collection, storage and processing of information;
– introduction of digital platforms for cooperation between science and business (“open innovation”).
The main directions of the conference will be:
